Pearl Healthcare · De Meern

Orthodontic treatment in De Meern.

Pearl Healthcare is the orthodontic practice of dentist Yusuf Eroğlu in De Meern. In a first consultation we look at whether braces are needed, which braces suit you and what the treatment costs.

New patients welcome

To book a first consultation, give us a call. In that visit we look at the teeth, answer your questions and tell you whether braces are needed.

Bring to the first consultation

  1. A valid ID: we are required to check the citizen service number (BSN).
  2. The health insurance card.
  3. The name of your own dentist (or your child's).
  4. If you have them: recent X-rays from your dentist.

Coming with a child under 16? Please come along: up to 16, a parent or guardian also has to consent to the treatment.

Treatments

From first consultation to aftercare: this is how treatment goes with us.

Assessment

  • First consultation

We look at the teeth and go through your questions, or your child's. You hear whether braces are needed and what the next step is.

  • Assessment and treatment plan

Using dental models and X-rays we draw up a treatment plan. We go through it with you, together with a written estimate.

Braces

  • Removable braces

Braces you put in and take out yourself, such as a plate or a functional appliance. Often used for children whose jaw is still growing.

  • Fixed braces

Braces with brackets on the teeth, in one or both jaws. You come in about once a month to have them checked and adjusted.

Aftercare

  • Aftercare and retention

After the braces, a retainer or night brace keeps the teeth in place. In follow-up checks we see that everything stays stable.

Costs and insurance

Orthodontic care has maximum prices set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa). The price list is available to read at the practice; feel free to ask for it.

  • If your treatment costs more than €250, you get a written estimate first, including material and lab costs.
  • While you wear braces, you pay per month for the check-ups and adjustments: the braces consultation.
  • Orthodontics is usually not covered by basic health insurance. Supplementary insurance often covers part of it, especially up to 18. Check your policy to see what you get back.

Problems with your braces

Most problems with braces are annoying but not an emergency. Call us on a working day.

  • A loose bracket: leave it in place and call us for an appointment.
  • A wire that pokes: cover it with orthodontic wax or a small piece of sugar-free chewing gum.
  • Removable braces that are broken or lost: stop wearing them and call us.
