Privacy

This website does not ask you for personal data: there is no form, and you make an appointment by phone. Below you can read which data is processed, what for, and which rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in Dutch AVG).

Who is responsible

Responsible for your details is:

Name
Pearl Healthcare
Address
Honswijkpolder 17, 3453 NS De Meern

When you visit the website

To show the pages and keep the site secure, our hosting provider processes technical data on every visit, such as your IP address, the time and the page you request. We do not use that data to track or recognise you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you are a patient

For your treatment we keep a patient record, including data about your health. The Dutch Medical Treatment Contracts Act (WGBO) requires us to. The legal basis is that legal duty and the provision of care (Article 6(1)(c) and Article 9(2)(h) GDPR).

We share with your health insurer only what is needed to claim the invoice. We share data with your own dentist when your treatment requires it, and otherwise only with your consent.

Your citizen service number (BSN)

The website does not ask for your BSN. At your first visit we check your BSN against a valid ID, as care providers in the Netherlands are required to. Please bring an ID with you.

How long we keep details

Your patient record is separate from the website. Under the WGBO (Article 7:454 of the Dutch Civil Code) we keep it for twenty years from the last change to the record. Usually that is your last treatment.

Who we share details with

The website runs at Vercel Inc., our hosting provider. Vercel may also process data outside the European Union. This happens under appropriate safeguards from the GDPR, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Patient data is not on the website.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • see the details we hold about you
  • have incorrect details corrected
  • have your details deleted
  • have the use of your details restricted
  • object to the use of your details
  • receive your details in a common file format, so you can pass them on to someone else

Send your request by post to Pearl Healthcare, Honswijkpolder 17, 3453 NS De Meern, or call us on 06 43 70 82 21. You will get an answer within one month.

If you disagree with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. The site uses nothing that would need it:

  • no statistics or visitor measurement
  • no trackers
  • no social media buttons, posts or videos
  • no embedded map
  • the fonts come from this website itself, not from Google
  • the language is part of the web address (English under /en), not stored in a cookie

Why you see no cookie banner

Under the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Article 11.7a), your consent is only needed for cookies the site does not need to work. This site sets no cookies at all, so there is nothing to ask consent for.

Directions

A directions link opens an external map service, but only when you click it. That service has its own privacy terms.

Complaints

Not happy with your treatment or with how you were helped? Please tell us. Our complaints procedure follows the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz).

  1. Talk to your practitioner

Talk to your practitioner, or call the practice on 06 43 70 82 21.

  2. Contact the complaints officer

If you cannot resolve it together, or would rather talk to someone else, the complaints officer helps you free of charge to make your complaint and looks for a solution with you.

Call us on 06 43 70 82 21 and we will give you the contact details of the complaints officer.

  3. You get a written answer within six weeks

When you make a complaint, the practice answers in writing within six weeks. If more time is needed, this can be extended once by up to four weeks. You will be told before the six weeks are up.

  4. Not resolved? Go to the disputes body

Not satisfied with the answer, or no answer at all? Then you can take your complaint to the recognised dispute body the practice is affiliated with. Its decision is binding, for you and for the practice. We will give you the dispute body's details on request.
